Self-Drive Big 5 Safari

Take your own car into the reserve and explore at your own pace. Conservancy fees are paid at the gate, and a map is provided. Most days you will see zebra, giraffe, rhino and elephant. If you are lucky, lion.

Gate hours

Open during daylight. Hours change a bit through the year, so check directly with the reserve before heading in.

Fees

Entry fees per adult and per vehicle. Pay at the gate when you arrive.

What to bring

Full tank, water, snacks, binoculars and a camera. You can't get out of your car inside the reserve.

Booking outside activities

Book directly with the operators or the reserve. We don't handle outside bookings, but the contacts above will get you sorted.
